Elizabeth II "Winston Churchill" Crown 1965 MS66 NGC, Royal Mint, KM910, S-4144. Commemorating the death of Sir Winston Churchill. While close to twenty million of this type was minted, the Royal Mint described the Churchill Crown as "one of the most difficult ever produced". Each Crown had to be struck by two extremely heavy presses, one of 250 tons and the other 360 tons. The Royal Mint also had to remove some of the original details, such as Oscar Nemon's (engraver) small initials, and he was ultimately unhappy with the result.
