A phenomenally attractive coin for the issue, displaying virtually none of the imperfections that usually affect the type--the fields are fully luminous and rather light on signs of handling, the strike is completely even and without weakness or adjustment marks, and only one, tiny die crack is visible in the obverse legend. Toned to an aged gunmetal as well, the coin at hand seems likely to achieve a higher designation in a more modern holder.
