James I (1603-25) gold 1/4 Laurel ND (1624) AU53 NGC, Tower mint, 2.27gm, KM69, S-2642A. Fourth laureate bust, trefoil mm. The final year of this Scottish King's coinage, a superb example with an especially strong portrait of James. A fantastic representative of this small gold issue.
