Norodom I silver Essai 10 Centimes 1860 MS63 NGC, KMX-E3a. Reported Mintage: 110. A very rare and extremely popular essai design, reported by the SCWC to have been a solely proof issue. While certified as a simply Mint State issue, beneath the heavy gunmetal and charcoal patina hints of a proof striking can be discerned, particularly in the overall crispness of the piece's execution, and in the glassiness detectable along the edges of the reverse--features shared with a specimen sold by Stack's in their April 2014 Hong Kong Auction (Lot 30022).
