Victoria gold Sovereign 1868/6-SYDNEY AU58+ PCGS, Sydney mint, cf. KM4 (unlisted overdate). An apparently unpublished overdate for the series, with only an 1867/6 recorded in the SCWC and this overdate similarly unrecorded in the Pocket Guide to Australia Coins, and no other example appearing to have been sold in the last 15 to 20 years. The piece itself maintains attractively lemon-gold, matte-like obverse surfaces, only minor scattered contact marks on the reverse, and an overall admirable strike.
