Philip V Cob Klippe 4 Reales 1734 Mo-MF XF45 PCGS, Mexico City mint, KM41, Calico-1102. This popular transitional Klippe type was struck in 1733 and 1734 when the new milled coins (struck from 1732 onwards) could not cover the entire production demand. Unholed, they are very scarce and this example is a superb example of the type, displaying a crystal clear date, gentle wear, and beautiful lightly patinated surfaces. Much less common than the 8 Reales denomination of the same type, this is a fleeting opportunity to own a rare piece of Mexican numismatic history. The sole straight-graded example in the PCGS census. HID09801242017 © 2023 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
