Republic gold 200 Markkaa 1926-S MS66 NGC, Helsinki mint, KM29, Fr-7. An elusive one-year type that never really circulated, and examples may have remained safely ensconced in bank vaults for nearly a century. From a reported mintage of 50,000 pieces; presently tied with 6 others in NGC census and just one piece scoring half a point higher. With few trivial instances of contact barely noticeable on the mellowed-gold fields, it seems these do not come meaningfully much finer than this.
