Willem I Proof Cent 1819 PR64 Brown NGC, Utrecht mint, KM47 (Proof unlisted), Schulman-324 (same). An exceptionally rare unlisted copper Proof, for a year that is already a key date (for business strikes) in the series. Brilliant, glossy surfaces are chestnut brown in color but appear lighter in-hand due to champagne and royal blue iridescence. This coin has a terrific pedigree dating back to the Ferrari Collection, by way of the Philippe de la Renotiere Collection sold by Jacques Schulman in 1925. It was then the second-highest selling lot in another Schulman sale in 1986. Ex. J. Schulman Auction 283 (March 1986, Lot 742); Philippe de la Renotiere (Ferrari) Collection (Schulman, November 1925, Lot 1005) From the Coenen Collection HID09801242017 © 2023 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
