Description

James I gold Unite ND (1612-1613) MS62 NGC, Tower mint, Tower mm, Second coinage, KM46, S-2619, N-2084. 9.80gm. ·IACOBVS'D·G·MA'·BRI'·FRAN·ET·HI'·REX Crowned and armored bust right, holding orb and scepter // (mm) ·FACIAM·EOS·IN·GENTEM·VNAM Crowned shield flanked by I-R at sides. A coveted gold James I issue, the only of its type currently certified at Mint State, yet we note for accuracy the Chesire Collection specimen we offered in 2012 ranked as an MS63. Perfectly centered and possessing original, semi-lustrous surfaces and a characteristic gentle strike that is free from circulation wear, the current representation is a one-of-a-kind destined for the best English collections.
