George II "Lima" 1/2 Crown 1745 F Details (Private Countermark, Holed) NGC, KM584.3. An accompanying old dealer ticket describes this coin as a Grenada (British West Indies) 6 Bits circa 1814 (using a G.G. counterstamp on the reverse). Reference to a pedigree from the Meili Collection sale in 1910 can also be found on this accompanying material. The specific lot 839 is referenced but looking through the catalog for that Schulman sale in 1910, this intriguing coin does not match that description but rather lot 2012 ("Lima Half Crown de George II de 1745, a.b.c. (petit trou); contre-marque de G--G. Ar."). Ex. Jules Meili Collection (Schulman, 1910, Lot 2012) HID09801242017 © 2022 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
