The Duke of Cumberland on horseback left, sword raised, city (Carlisle) behind. Rev. The Duke standing right, handing an olive leaf to Anglia seated left, below a prostate rebel with a Papal shield. Struck to mark the retreat of the Jacobite rebels to Scotland. Deeply sculpted and set against smooth fields, there is a real sense of depth to this wonderfully ornate piece.
