William & Mary silver "Coronation" Medal 1689 MS64 NGC, MI-664-29, Woolf-10:4a. 37.8mm, 24.9g. By Jan Smeltzing. Obv. Conjoined busts of William and Mary. Rev. An eagle ejects one of its three eaglets from nest, sun shines on distant fleet. This handsome and well-preserved specimen features mottled toning around the peripheries and still-lustrous devices. The open expanses of the sky have taken on an attractive blue-gray patina that predominates on the reverse. The only known example at either grading service.
