Charles I bronze "Death and Memorial" Medal ND (1649) MS64 Brown NGC, MI-346-201, Eimer-162a. By J. & N. Roettiers. Obv. Draped and armored bust right. Rev. Hand of God extending a crown above an English landscape. This medal was ordered by Charles II following his restoration in 1660, though the actual date of strike is believed to be 1695. Magnificent surfaces adorn this specimen that retains bright, full luster. Attractively styled, this representative admits few flaws even to the scrupulous eye.
