Inscription with a wreath of roses and lilies. Struck to commemorate the birth and baptism of Prince James. James’s birth date was October 14, but this piece incorrectly dates his birth as October 15. Admitting some weakness to the strike and dark toning, the eye appeal here is bolstered by a salvo of color underlying the devices.
