KAROLVS • DI • GR | FRAnCORV • RЄX (saltire stops), crowned, mantled figure of Charles standing facing beneath a Gothic dais, sword in right hand, scepter surmounted by Hand of Justice in left / +XPC • VIИCIT • XPC • RЄGИAT • XPC • IMPЄRAT (mullet stops), cross fleury with crowns and lis alternating in angles within quadrilobe; lis in spandrels. An impressively detailed and lustrous specimen, arguably preserved at Mint State were it not for the clipping to the upper regions of the flan.
