Vittorio Emanuele III gilt 100 Lire 1907 MS64 Matte NGC, Milan mint (S. Johnson), cf. KM-Pr7 (in gold), Pag-146 (R3). An entirely fleeting emission and while not as scarce as the R4 edition in gold we handled as part of the Paramount Collection, remains wholly attractive and historically important nonetheless. Dressed with a characteristic Matte finish similar to other Johnson products, the piece displays a much strong striking than those Galvanos of the year prior. A stunner to say the least. Ex. Carl F.
