Umberto I lead Trial Strike 100 Lire 1884-R UNC, Rome mint, KM-Unl., Pag-Unl. A curious Trial Strike of a date never produced, on a square lead planchet and while lightly oxidized, retains mottled flashes throughout. Unsuitable for encapsulation by NGC as an ineligible type, while those of the 50 Lire variety are known to Pagani as Pag-127. Ex. Carl F.
