Ferdinand & Isabella gold 2 Excelentes ND (1476-1516)-S MS61 NGC, Seville mint, Fr-129, Cal-721. 6.95gm. An elusive Mint State representative of this sought-after type, displaying a different bust style than Calico's plate coin. Struck on an undersized flan, leaving some of the devices to the imagination, yet the motifs rendered on the obverse appear particularly crisp. Some scattered earthen toning joins with replete original bloom to enliven the surfaces of this fetching survivor.
