S • PЄTRVS • | ΛTOR VRBIS, doge kneeling left before St. Peter (standing right), receiving banner with rose at base, SЄn (upwards) to right / • ROMΛ • CΛPT • MVNDI • S • P • Q • R • (vernicle) •, Christ in glory (surrounded by mandorla), book of Gospels in left hand, raising right in benediction, four stars to left, five to right. A near-gem struck on a blooming flan, slightly doubled on the obverse with the reverse facing up sharper.
