IONIA. Ephesus. Ca. 4th century BC. AR tetradrachm (24mm, 15.14 gm, 12h). NGC XF 4/5 - 3/5. Ca. 360-350 BC, Hippocritus I, magistrate. E-Φ, bee with straight wings seen from above / IΠΠOKPITOΣ I, forepart of stag kneeling right, head reverted; palm tree behind. Kinns, Ephesus, Pixodarus Hoard in: Coin Hoards IX (2002), Class F, pg. 203. Sharp remnant detailing despite the moderate wear for this popular type.
