SCYTHIA. Geto-Dacians. Coson (after 54 BC). AV stater (19mm, 8.41 gm, 11h). NGC Choice MS 5/5 - 5/5. Ca. 44-42 BC. Roman consul (L. Junius Brutus) walking left, accompanied by two lictors fore and aft, BR monogram before, KOΣΩN in exergue / Eagle with spread wings standing left on scepter, clutching laurel wreath in right talon. HGC 3.2, 2049. RPC I 1701. Firmly struck with luxurious, matte surfaces of harvest gold.
