Description

Victoria gold 1/2 Sovereign 1871-S MS63 NGC, Sydney mint, KM5, S-3862, Marsh-460. First year of emission for this type and an outrageously difficult coin to find in this elite state of preservation, with all the other graded pieces across PCGS and NGC reaching AU58 at most. Every aspect of this tiny miracle speaks of careful handling ever since it was minted; the captivating silkiness and the immense luster of the fields are a joy to behold, the minuscule mark in front of her bust mentioned for accuracy. Certainly a great rarity and a must consideration for the advanced collector of Australian 1/2 Sovereigns.
