THRACE. Byzantium. Ca. late 2nd-1st centuries BC. AR tetradrachm (32mm, 16.92 gm, 11h). NGC Choice XF 5/5 - 4/5. Posthumous issue in the name and types of Lysimachus of Thrace. Diademed head of deified Alexander III right, with horn of Ammon / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, Athena seated left, Nike in right hand crowning royal name, left arm leaning on large grounded shield decorated with gorgoneion head boss, transverse spear in background; KEP monogram in inner left field, BY on throne, filleted trident left in exergue.
