Japan Bank of Japan 1000 Yen ND (1945) Pick 45a PMG About Uncirculated 55. The first series of Japanese banknotes issued after World War II were withdrawn after only a few months in circulation. This 1000 Yen is the highest denomination of that short-lived series, hence why it is scarce and desirable today. Only brief circulation is present, and notice that this example features the first block number for the series. Rare in this excellent grade and a pretty banknote.
