Canada Bank of Canada $1000 2.1.1937 BC-28 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. An attractive example graced by a portrait of Sir Wilfred Laurier on the front and a lovely allegory on the back. The Osborne-Towers signatures were the sole combination used in the 1937 issue for this denomination. These notes, printed in 1937 and intended to supersede the 1935 issue, were not actually released for circulation until 1952. A total of 15,000 notes were printed. This issue printed by the Canadian Banknote Company, bearing the A/K prefix and great color will most likely to see spirited bidding.
