Brazil Caixa de Estabilizacao 1 Conto de Reis = 1000 Mil Reis 18.12.1926 Pick 109 PMG Very Fine 25. An extremely rare type, with a breathtaking engraving on the back, and the highest denomination of the series. At the time of cataloging, only three examples are graded in the PMG Population Report. These stabilization notes were issued as gold coinage was redeemed. However, the enormous face value of this type prevented it from being saved, as 1000 Mil Reis was much more appealing in metallic form than paper. A minor paper pull at back is mentioned for accuracy. One of only a handful are this type are extant to date.
