Description

Confederation gold Pattern 20 Francs 1873 MS61 PCGS, Brussels mint, KM-Pn24, HMZ-2-1228a. Angel head mintmark. Yet another intriguing Pattern type from the Swiss confederation series, produced a full decade before large-scale adoption of gold coinage. Seemingly deserving of at least a Specimen designation, the highly reflective lemon-gold canvas hosting firmly struck devices yielding a nearly full expression as intended by famed French engraver Charles Wiener. A minimally-handled specimen likely to elicit significant bidder interest.
