A one of a kind trial piece celebrating the 50th anniversary of the implementation of decimal coinage into Great Britain's currency system in 1971. The reverse depicts an overlapping assortment of recognizable pre-decimal coins, frosted as to contrast with a Proof heptagon that emerges in the center of the flan and bears the inscription, "1971 DECIMAL DAY".
