João V gold 1600 Reis 1730/27-M XF (Engraved Devices, Altered Surfaces), Minas Gerais mint, KM125 (this coin), LMB-267 (overdate unlisted), Guimaraes-1730./27-1.1. 3.22gm. An elusive issue, presenting a desirable overdate and bright golden surfaces. Though a coin that has it's fair share of history of interventions, it's still a desirable key piece of the gold Brazilian series, one that was absent from the RLM, Eliasberg and several other major collections. Only the second we were able to locate sold in the last two decades, with a single VF Details graded by NGC. From the Petropolis Collection, Part I
