Charles X gold Specimen "Coronation" Medal 1825 SP62 PCGS, Collignon-465 var. (unlisted in gold). 37.15gm. 34mm. By Gayrard. A seldom-seen issue and one of a series of coronation Medals of Charles X by Gayrard, more often encountered in silver, with gold issues only coming to market once every few years, but always accompanied by significant bidder interest. A wonderful near-choice selection blanketed in sun-gold radiance, projecting perfectly executed central devices ever further towards the viewer upon illumination.
