RIC IV.II 103. Calicó 3121. Sharp features on sublimely luminous fields. The type, depicting Alexander as Romulus in military dress, likely refers to preparations for war against the new Sasanid dynasty in Persia, which had launched aggressive attacks against Rome's eastern provinces.
