Edward III (1327-1377) gold 1/2 Noble ND (1361-1369) UNC Details (Damaged) NGC, Tower mint, Cross Pattee mm, Treaty Period, S-1506. 3.83gm. ЄD | WΛRD: DЄI: G: RЄX: ΛnGL: D: hyB • Z (retrograde) • ΛQ | T (saltire and double saltire stops), Edward crowned, standing facing in ship, sword in right hand, shield in left / + DOmInЄ: nЄ: In: FVRORЄ: TVO: ΛRGVΛS: mЄ (double saltire stops), large floriate cross with Є at center, crowned lions in angles, all within polylobe with trefoils in spandrels. An exceptional specimen with fully embossed and well-centered details, the legends clear and with minimal die shift. Minor damage towards the edge can be seen to the reverse, but this is an enthralling specimen regardless.
