Description

Erbach. Ludwig III, Johann Kasimir, & Georg Albrecht Taler 1623 MS63 NGC, Fürstenau mint, KM11, Dav-6666, Wilmersdörffer-6941. With the name and titles of Ferdinand II. The sole Mint State-graded representative of this fleeting two-year type yet certified--a considerable achievement both for its age and the average condition in which most examples are encountered. Mint fresh and radiant throughout, the planchet has aged to a subdued steel-gray that nonetheless keeps from obscuring any of the coin's features. Moreover minted with technically ideal centering, and an all-in-all beautiful piece. Ex. Johann Max Böttcher Collection (Harald Möller Auction 47, November 2007, Lot 343) From the Cape Coral Collection of German Coins, Part I
