Brunswick-Lüneburg-Calenberg-Hannover. Georg II August "Mining" Taler 1756-IBH MS64 NGC, Zellerfeld mint, KM294, Dav-2100, Schön-279 (under Hannover), Knyphausen-3247, Müseler-480, Welter-2563, Preussag Collection-1262. Celebrating the yield of the Güte des Herrn ("Goodness of the Lord") mine. Handsome to the extreme, with a museum-quality smoky gunmetal-plum hue dressing the fields, which reveals a watery golden shimmer that intensifies towards the edges. Only a single point behind the ex. Millennia/Goodman example, we would note that we have offered just a single specimen in comparable condition previously, which brought $5160 in January of last year. From the collector: This Goodness of the Lord taler, purchased in 2002, is one of my favorite mining talers in my collection. From the Cape Coral Collection of German Coins, Part I
