Description

Brandenburg-Ansbach. Alexander Taler 1779-G MS63 NGC, Schwabach mint, KM317, Dav-2022, Schön-171, Wilmersdörffer-1106, Grüber Collection-4600. Commemorating the Peace of Teschen. Exceeded by a single piece a point finer at NGC, which, however, possessed a very dark surface tone, this coin generally leaves little to be desired--its surfaces are bright and luminous, its goldfish-orange and magenta toning eye-catching, and its choice preservation hardly usual for the type. While more available in high quality than some issues, rarely is the emission presented so eye-catching. Ex. Johann Max Böttcher Collection (Harald Möller Auction 47, November 2007, Lot 128) From the Cape Coral Collection of German Coins, Part I
