Commonly known as the Segen des Himmels ("Blessings of Heaven") Taler, this iconic commemorative of Ludwig I has long been one of his most popular, inspiring the equally famed Family Rouble of his contemporary, Nicholas I of Russia. Representing very near the peak of technical quality for the type (NGC records a single MS67 finer), we have only ever offered a single other representative in comparable condition, from the D.
