Description

Baden. Leopold I "Blessings on the Baden Mines" Taler 1834 MS65 PCGS, Karlsruhe mint, KM202, Dav-521, AKS-84, Thun-21, Müseler-225. Mintage: 6,517. An exceptionally handsome one-year mining commemorative, representing an absolute peak grade within the series. Showing the typical mild central flan adjustments characteristic of the type, hardly a post-mint imperfection is to be seen over the surfaces, which for their part appear pearly white with just the slightly hint of a more golden hue along the margins. We have handled just one other in this grade previously, also formerly part of this collection, which brought $2232 in 2016. From the Cape Coral Collection of German Coins, Part I
