Description

Hupeh. Kuang-hsü Dollar ND (1895-1907) MS62 NGC, Wuchang mint, KM-Y127.1, L&M-182, Kann-40a, WS-0873. Variety with broken English letters in legend. A trademark of early Hupeh coinage, with a visually intriguing broken legend likely owing to defective or corroded dies, yet still in a condition that is wholly appreciable. Laden with ample mint flash encircling the central devices unimpeded, highlighting an argent patina that permeates the coin on the whole, elevating an already superior eye appeal. The surfaces find themselves mostly devoid of any singularly significant instances of handling and revealing only light wisps that cap the assigned grade and will surely interest the quality-minded collector of this popular series.
