China Bank of Taiwan Limited 10 Yen ND (1916) Pick 1923s S/M#T20-22 Specimen PMG About Uncirculated 55 EPQ. The Bank of Taiwan, established as a Kabushiki Kaisha (corporation), became the de facto central bank for the Japanese possession. Though it did not control monetary policy, it was responsible for the exchange of Yen, as well as other financial services. After the war, it continued on as the de facto central bank until its currency issuing rights were revoked in the early 2000s. This lovely perforated specimen note is the sole finest graded of the three examples registered in the PMG Population Report.
