MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Alexander III the Great (336-323 BC). AR tetradrachm (25mm, 17.09 gm, 3h). NGC MS 5/5 - 3/5, brushed. Posthumous issue of 'Amphipolis', ca. 320-317 BC. Head of Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck / ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Zeus seated left on backless throne, left leg drawn back, feet on ground line, eagle in right hand, grounded scepter in left; dolphin downward in left field, ΠO monogram below throne. Price 133. Beautiful coin in hand, lustrous on a matte flan.
