Republic gold 8 Scudos 1844 PTS-R AU55 NGC, Potosi mint, KM108.2, Asbun-Karmy-R83, Onza-1591. An elusive type, bearing sharp motifs and lustrous fields. Far finer than either of the two other examples that have come up for auction in the past 20 years, and tied for the finest certified across both PCGS and NGC censuses. The first representative of this date we have had the opportunity to offer in nearly 15 years.
