Commonwealth Shilling 1551-Dated (1651) AU Details (Holed) NGC, Sun mm, cf. KM390.1 (for type), S-3217 (same), ESC-Unl. 5.94gm. A peculiar and seemingly unpublished error date. Even though the hole has created an area of disruption on the flan around the date, the second digit clearly appears to be engraved as a 5, rather than the result of a severe die shift.
