Louis XV gold Louis d'Or Mirliton 1724-I AU Details (Saltwater Damage) NGC, Limoges mint, KM470.9, Gad-339 (R2), Dup-1638. Large palms variety. Only the fourth example of this mint-date we have been able to trace becoming available in recent years, and one of only three yet certified, with the finest being a lone MS64. Perhaps a touch finer than the assigned grade would suggest, and generally rather attractive.
