Few from this historic issue can claim to match the level of aesthetic quality seen here, admitting few flaws even to the most scrupulous eye. A handsome near-choice example dressed in autumnal hues peppered with cobalt and teal accents, struck by John Law for his Compagnie des Indes for use in the French Colonies. Certainly a great rarity when located this fine and problem-free, and likely to entice both French and US collectors alike.
