Republic silver Pattern Peso 1896 Mo-M AU58 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM-Pn160, Guttag-Unl., Buttrey/Hubbard-Unl. By all indications an exceptionally challenging off-metal Pattern of this normally gold denomination, altogether absent from the Guttag, Norweb, and Gerber collections, with just one other similarly graded piece at PCGS. Though some extremely minor hairline scratches can be discerned upon close inspection, handling on the whole appears exceedingly mild. Privately Purchased from World Numismatics in October 2016
