Republic silver Pattern 2 Soles 1852 PTS-FM MS63 NGC, Potosi mint, KM-Pn2. A scintillating example of an exceedingly scarce Pattern, one which we have yet to locate outside of this piece's last appearance at auction when offered as part of the Whittier Collection. The present offering displays laudable boldness owed to a firm strike, elevating a coin whose aesthetic caliber is already impressive due to a full steely amber tone that graciously coats its surfaces.
