Lebanon Banque de Syrie et du Grand-Liban 100 Livres 1939 Pick 14a PCLB 49a1 PMG Choice Very Fine 35. A black "LIBAN 1939" overprint is seen across the engraving of the Banque de Syrie headquarters in Beirut. This is the highest denomination of the series and it is denominated in Syrian Pounds. One green slash overprint is seen on each side. At the time of cataloging, this is the first and only example graded in the PMG Population Report. The visual appeal is quite good and the technical grade is impressive considering the rarity of this beautiful, large format note. The first we have offered and a famously rare variety worthy of serious consideration.
