THRACIAN KINGDOM. Lysimachus (305-281 BC). AR tetradrachm (30mm, 17.01 gm, 1h). NGC Choice XF 5/5 - 3/5, Fine Style. Smyrna, ca. 287-282 BC. Diademed head of deified Alexander III right, with horn of Ammon / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, Athena enthroned left, Nike in outstretched right hand crowning royal name, resting left arm on grounded shield decorated with gorgoneion boss, transverse spear beyond; Φ in outer left field, turreted head right in inner left field. Thompson 237. Müller 408. Nicely centered and struck from attractive dies of highly artistic style, from the rare Smyrna mint.
