Description

Republic Sun Yat-sen "Lower Five-Pointed Stars" Dollar ND (1912) AU Details (Cleaned) PCGS, Nanking mint, KM-Y319, L&M-42, Kann-603, WS-0085, Wenchao-847 (rarity 3 stars). Variety with lower five-pointed stars on reverse. Commemorating the Birth of the Republic. Soundly rendered both for the type and the grade, with the unnatural shimmer to the surfaces caused by cleaning proving not overly obtrusive to the coin's eye appeal. Indeed, a plum tone overlying champagne backlight has since developed to the fields, which upon further inspection reveal clear and plentiful die polish lines.
