Marcus Aurelius, as Augustus (AD 161-180). AV aureus (20mm, 7.20 gm, 11h). ANACS, XF 45, altered surfaces. Rome, March-December AD 161. IMP CAES M AVREL ANTONINVS AVG, bare head of Marcus Aurelius right / CONCORDIAE AVGVSTOR TR P XV, togate facing figures of Marcus Aurelius (on right) and Lucius Verus (on left), turned toward each another, clasping right hands; COS III in exergue. RIC III 8. Calicó 1822. Perfectly centered on subdued lustrous flan, attractive light orange toning.
